How much do I need to pay for the booking fee?

Booking fee should not exceed one percent (1%) of the vehicle's 'On The Road' (OTR) price for each model as stated under the 'Hire Purchase Act' agreement.

How much down payment do I need to make?

The down payment amount is dependent on the loan approved by your/the bank. Our friendly Sales Advisor will be able to help you calculate this for you.

Will I get a refund if I cancel my booking?

Booking cancellations and refunds are in accordance with Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd's guidelines. Our Sales Advisor will be able to provide you with detailed information and help you with the process. Booking fees will be refunded as stated in the booking form, which you would have signed when you placed your booking.

What is the interest rate offered for the loan?

The interest rate would vary from each bank, and is subject to the bank's terms and conditions. Our Sales Advisor would be able to provide you with more information.

Will I be able to get the vehicle within the same month the booking was made?

The lead time for deliveries differs for each model. Our friendly Sales Advisor will be able to advise you whether there is available stock of your preferred model and the estimated delivery date.

Does Tiong Nam Motor provide trade-in services?

Unfortunately, we do not provide this service. However, our Sales Advisor will be able to recommend a third party used car dealer and may arrange for them to view your vehicle. Any agreements or offers made of the value of your car will be between the used car dealer and yourself.

How do I make an appointment?

The easiest way is to call us at 1300-222-000 to make a reservation with our friendly CRE. Alternatively, you can send us a message with your preferred date and time via WhatsApp or SMS at 012-222 5179, or leave a private message at www.fb.com/hondationgnam. Easy!
Our Service Centre is open 7 days a week from 8.30am to 5.30pm and closed on Public Holidays. We advise you to book your appointments in advance to avoid disappointment and a long waiting time.

Does this mean that my car will be immediately sent in for service / repair?

The appointment time allocated is for you to meet the Service Advisor only. This will reduce your waiting time to be attended to.

What if I am early or running late for my appointment?

Unfortunately if you are more than 30 minutes early or late for your appointment, your appointment is then cancelled. We will consider your visit as a 'walk-in' visit and you would have to wait your turn to be seen by the Service Advisor. However, we do aim to see to you as soon as possible! Please be punctual to ensure that your visit goes smoothly, and to avoid disrupting other appointments.

What if I can't make it for the Appointment?

Please contact us to cancel or reschedule your visit. Our Customer Relation Executive will be happy to arrange for another appointment with you.

Can I walk in without an appointment?

You may walk in to our Service Centre and will be attended to on a 'First Come, First Serve' basis. However, this is not recommended.

How can I get a quote for my car insurance renewal?

We would be delighted to provide you a quote! Simply call us at 017-3355956 or send us an email at insurance@honda-tiongnam.com.

What documents do I need to renew my car insurance?

For customers who have purchased their Honda cars from us, you only need to tell us your number plate in order for us to provide you with a quote. We are able to renew your insurance instantly once we receive your confirmation. Easy!

What if I was not a Tiong Nam Motor’s customer? Can I still renew my car insurance from Tiong Nam Motor?

If your car was purchased elsewhere, you can still renew your car insurance with us! We require the following information before we can provide you with a quote:

  • Your car insurance renewal notice/your previous insurance cover note, or
  • A copy of your vehicle registration card
Can Tiong Nam Motor help to renew my road tax?

Yes. We do provide the service for road tax renewal but subject to a standard minimal charges fee for the runner.

How can I pay for the car insurance and/or road tax renewal?

For car insurance renewals, we accept payments by credit card and cash or via internet banking. If you choose to make a transfer via JomPAY or internet banking, please send us an email with the payment slip/transfer acknowledgement attached as well. For remote credit card payments, we require a Customer's Authorization Form to be completed.

You can choose to collect your new car insurance policy from our office or request for it to be posted to you. 

For road tax renewals, we prefer for payments to be made in cash.

When will I receive my new car insurance and/or road tax?

For combined car insurance and road tax renewal, it usually takes 2-3 working days. If it is just the car insurance renewal (customer to renew the road tax themselves), it will only take us 10-15 minutes once you accept the quote!

Is GST applied to the car insurance and road tax renewal?

A 6% GST charge will be applied to the insurance renewal, including any additional coverage that you require e.g. windscreen protection, named driver(s) etc. GST is not applied to road tax renewals.

If my company is exempt from paying GST, can I claim back the 6% tax on my car insurance renewal?

Yes, you can! If you are registered, please provide us with your GST registration number and your GST commencement date and expiry date in order to claim back the tax from Jabatan Kastam.
